By accessing or using APA (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

APA provides software that helps individuals and their caregivers organize personal paperwork — including medical, financial, and government documents. The Service may use AI to extract structured information from uploaded documents.

The Service is provided for personal organization and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an APA account. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

When you invite caregivers or family members to your account, you grant them the permissions you select. You are responsible for managing those permissions.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others;
• Upload content you do not have the right to share;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or any servers or networks connected to it;
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.

You retain all rights to the content you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading, you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you and any caregivers you have authorized.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of a paid plan after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

The Service uses AI to extract information from documents and to generate summaries or draft letters. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated output before acting on it. APA is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APA AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You may terminate your account at any time from the account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

After termination, we will retain or delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
